Purpose:
A Physics teacher at The International of Kenana, American Department, must have a deep understanding of key physics concepts, including classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and modern physics, with proficiency in related mathematical tools such as calculus, vectors, and differential equations. They need to be skilled at simplifying complex theories, using visual aids, and applying hands-on experiments to enhance student learning. A solid grasp of pedagogy is essential, enabling them to engage students through interactive learning, critical thinking, and real-world applications. Additionally, the teacher must stay informed about current technological advancements and the societal impacts of physics, while also employing effective assessment strategies and providing constructive feedback to guide students’ progress.
Job Responsibilities
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Consistently act as a role model by embodying the school’s Vision and Mission Statements in all interactions and activities.
- Actively attend and participate in Morning Assemblies to foster community and engagement.
- Attend all scheduled meetings, seminars, and workshops to stay informed and aligned with school initiatives.
- Attend morning lines setting the tone for the day and reinforcing school values and discipline.
- Deliver lessons and activities aligned with the curriculum established by the department.
- Work diligently to help students improve their academic performance in mid-term and end-of-year exams.
- Ensure all students reach their highest potential, providing tailored support to accommodate individual needs.
- Prepare all lesson materials in advance, ensuring copy requests are submitted at least 48 hours prior to usage.
- Plan, deliver, and provide feedback on classroom lessons and homework to maintain academic rigor and engagement.
- Integrate innovative and modern teaching approaches, including IT, library resources, and hands-on activities, to enhance the learning experience.
- Use active and student-centered learning techniques to foster engagement and deeper understanding.
- Employ differentiated instructional strategies to address the needs of both high-achieving and struggling students.
- Ensure students are consistently equipped with the necessary materials for success.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a disciplined and productive learning environment.
- Follow the school’s disciplinary program and policies for students, ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Actively contribute to and participate in department activities, fostering teamwork and collaboration among colleagues.
- Collaborate with peers to plan events, projects, and activities that align with the department’s goals.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with students, parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Use clear, concise, and appropriate instructional language in both verbal and written communication.
- Focus on both academic and personal development of students, providing equal attention and support to all learners.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or licensure, and Masters Degrees are preferable.
- 2 years’ experience teaching Physics is preferable.
